The Australian Capital Territory will be looking to spring a surprise in this week's 2015 Yamaha Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE) Trophy Team competition according to team manager Michael Tuckerman.

Tuckerman, who has competed in eleven Australian Four Day Enduro's himself, said the ACT were ready to make an impact on this year's event.

"We're confident of a strong showing. We have done well in the last few years - particularly in the juniors - and we try and operate not so much on outright speed but as members of a team," Tuckerman said.

"We have got some fast riders there, and I'd be expecting most of our riders to finish in the top 50."

Tuckerman said the ACT contingent had the experience and the talent to take it to the other states.

"We've got Mitch Bowen, who has been on the podium in the E3 class in Four Day's before and gold medallist at many Four Day's, while Kye Anderson is another gold medallist from Four Day's," Tuckerman said.

"John Payton, Tom Turnbull and Luka Bussa have all competed in plenty of Four Day's before for ACT, and Brad Hardaker has certainly completed in a lot of New South Wales events and did the Australian Off-Road Championship this year."

The state's Junior Trophy team has enjoyed recent success, and Tuckerman said they were looking for the same again.

"I've got two boys in the Junior Trophy team in Tom and Brad Tuckerman, who were part of the team that finished in third at the Warragul Four Day (in 2012)," Tuckerman said.

"Christian Clarke and Kye Forbes are the other two members of the Junior team; Kye hasn't finished a Four Day before so he will be looking to do that this year, while Christian hasn't done one before, so they are two of our up-and-coming riders."
