From VERi site-
Just over one week to the next event on the VERi calendar, the Yarram Vinduro on 1 July 2018.

Bikes will need to be registered (club, rec or full) for this one, and riders must have a licence.

This event should especially appeal to vinduro fans in Gippsland and Eastern Victoria in general.

The course will be a great mix of flowing trails, made up of surfaces from sandy loam to harder packed trails, all linked together to create a loop of approximately 60 kms.

A large portion of the trails are not regularly ridden, therefore they create good flow and are not flogged out. The track also features short special-test style sections in the loamy areas. Another section contains slightly bermed corners which promote confidence and higher gear use! There are no areas that riders should get hooked up on, or have to push their mates out of bog holes.

The flow of the track is a great precursor to build ride fitness for later VERi events such as 10th Harrow Vinduro on the 28/29 July.

It's been nearly a year since I've been on a bike - damn neck. Anyway, time to remedy that. Only a few years to 60 and I'm not going to see another year pass without throwing a leg over a bike.
I went to Labertouche with two mates and had a ball. The new neck brace worked a treat and I had bugger all pain.
The tracks were dry, rutted and skittish in places, however excellent overall for a good medium paced return to riding.
Great morning with no injuries - happy . It's given me the incentive to finish my 1978 400 for this year's vinduro's. If the resto continues to drag out I'll borrow an old TS that's sitting in a mates shed.

My trusty old "modern" YZ250

Kev on the yz450 doing a walk of shame. He got it together after this track and had a blast (he's fairly new to dirtbikes)

Poor buggers stuffed - time for a break

Toby cruising up Tea Tree track on his husky

This KTM520 managed to completely submerge itself in the only puddle on our ride. We gave him a hand to drag it out.
His mate in the trick riding gear was on a restored 84 TS250 (sorry no pic)

It was a great day out and I plan to do it again soon.

cheers Tony

After the success of 3 Bridges it's not long until the next VERi vinduro - Beaufort.

From VERi site-

Next event is at Beaufort

This awesome event returns, with more of the pine forests and scenic bush trails that riders have come to love.

We're planning some changes to the course we used last year to keep things interesting!

Riding on Sunday 27 May only (no Saturday course available), but there are plenty of trails in the area to explore - grab yourself a map and go nuts! We ask that you stay off any arrowed trails you might come across, and definitely stay out of the pine plantations prior to Sunday.

All bikes will have to be registered (full, recreational or classic permit) and riders must have a current motorcycle licence. Must be pre 88 models of course.

More details will be published here, and on our Facebook page/group as the event draws closer.

VERi's first vinduro for 2018 was brilliant. The weather god's smiled, the ground conditions looked great, a good turnout and what a mix of bikes.

The smile says it all-

Wahhooo!!! one week to go

From the VERi site-

The first VERi vinduro for 2018 is taking place on the weekend of 28-29 April. This will be a laid-back start to the VERi season, and we hope as many riders as possible make the most of it!

The location is 1120 Little Yarra Road, Three Bridges, Victoria, 3797.

There'll be riding on Saturday afternoon, after 12pm and the main event will be on Sunday. On Sunday there'll be a riders briefing at 8.30am with riders away at 9am.

Camping is available at the venue on Saturday night only, at no charge. Event entry fee is $60 for members and $70 for non-members. All riders will have to obtain a one-event recreational licence for $30, unless they have an existing annual MA licence (this is regardless of whether your bike is registered or not). All riders must be at least 16 years old.

There is no pre-entry. Entry forms will be available at the event. You can enter on Saturday, or Sunday morning. We will have forms available to download on this website soon if you wish to print one out and fill it in beforehand. Please try and bring correct change. No Eftpos available.

There is no catering at the event. So, you'll need to bring your own food and refreshments. And water, bring plenty of water, staying hydrated while riding is very important.

Any questions can be emailed to verivinduro@gmail.com

Stay tuned for more details.
